Hi! My name is Aimee, and I’m usually a very reserved person. The whole idea of blogging and sharing things close to me is scary! Even so, the past couple of years have been an amazing time of learning and growth for me! My desire to share some of the things I’ve learned, as well as things I continue to learn, with as many people as possible is stronger than my fear. So . . . here I am!
When I was young, I was told that you should learn something new every day. At the time, I didn’t believe that was possible. I mean, could there really be that much to learn? It turns out that YES, there is! Not only that, but learning new things and making discoveries on a regular basis has brought a light into my life that was missing before. There are SO many things to learn, and SO many ways to learn them! Most of the time, these lessons are easily overlooked if you’re not paying attention. The purpose of this blog is to help me stay focused on the little things that teach me something new every day. Maybe you already know most of the things I will share, but maybe you don’t. Who knows, maybe something small and simple that you discover here will change your whole perspective on life? There’s only one way to find out! Join me, and we’ll take this adventure together!

- I love music. I play the piano and the guitar, and love to sing – sometimes to the chagrin of those around me.
- I LOVE to read. My love affair with the written word began early, and continues to grow. I learn A LOT of things from the books I read . . . believe it or not, you CAN learn something from reading fiction! (I do read other stuff, too . . .)
- As much as I love to read, I also love to talk about the things I read, so there will be a fair amount of book reviews on this blog.
- I love my husband . . . I’m lucky enough to be married to a guy that works hard every day, so I can spend the bulk of my time mothering our three littles. He can fix just about anything, from a broken dishwasher, to a scraped knee, and he makes me laugh every day.
- I love being a mommy! When I was in pre-school, we had a little career parade where we were supposed to dress up as what we wanted to be when we grew up. I donned a pair of sunglasses, an awesome wig, a purse, and pushed a shopping cart with one of my babies along for the ride. While having children did not come as seamlessly as I expected, my three little people are a major source of joy in my life.
- I love chocolate. And caramel.
- I love sunshine, the ocean, and traveling.
- I love to sleep. If you ask anyone at my house, you will learn that this is one of my greatest talents.
- I love to learn! Learning something new has a way of energizing me, lifting my spirits, and motivating me to do hard things.
- Most importantly, I love my Heavenly Father, and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the influence my religion has on my life, and for the growth I see as I actively work to stay close Divinity.
