And just like that, summer is almost over. For being full of “lazy days”, it sure goes by quickly! At our house, we are getting ready to head back to school. Clothes have been purchased and schedules printed. As part of our effort to get school supplies ready for the new year, my son and I made some labels for his folders. Read on to learn more!
Back to School Folder Labels Supplies:
- Pocket Folders – Enough for each class on your schedule.
- Cricut cutting machine – I used the Explore Air 2
- Cricut Premium Vinyl – A variety of colors makes these labels especially fun.
- Transfer tape.
I have always loved “Back to School” season! Some people think I’m crazy, but there’s just something about this time of year that makes my heart happy. Maybe it’s the fresh, new school supplies. Maybe it’s the fact that the weather is starting to cool down a little bit. Or maybe, I just get excited to learn something new. I know it’s not ME going back to school, but I get excited anyway. What better way to burn off a little excitement than by creating something! Here’s what we did to get our folders labeled:
Back to School Folder Labels – Step by Step:
Step 1:
The first step in any great project is the design. No matter what it is you are trying to create, it’s always a good idea to know how you want things to end up. For this project, I used Cricut Design Space. Click here to access my Back to School Folders Design.
Step 2:
In my design, we used a few different colors to make things fun. In Design Space, you can change the colors to fit your own personal style. Once that is done, click “Make It” and follow the instructions on your screen. You will be prompted when to change colors of vinyl so things turn out just the way you want them to.
Step 3:
Once everything has been cut out, all that you have left to do is weed out the parts you don’t want, and use your transfer tape to move the vinyl onto your folders. Easy Peasy!
There you have it! Just a few easy steps, and you’re ready to head back to school. Ready to make some of your own?
I love back to school too! As a child I would make lists of all of the school supplies I needed. I still do, now with my own children. These labels are so cute and so handy for each school subject!
GREAT IDEA! I think I’ll be doing this for my new Highschooler. Hopefully it will help him be organized, he needs all the help he can get;)
Thanks, and good luck!
These are such a cute way to get organized! Love the different designs.
Thanks so much, my friend!
